70Rollerblade helmets
Rollerblading is a fun activity but never forget your rollerbalde helmet. If you were persistent enough to go through the falls that all of us endure in the beginning, you will know for sure what I am saying. Feeling the wind on your face as you are gaining speed, or just enjoy the ocean view if you are lucky enough to do it near de sea, it's an incredibly fun outside activity.
Whether or not you are using rollerblades for fun or exercise or for short periods, you
should always wear a rollerblade helmet. It's important to know how your
helmet should fit you and what it feels like when it does fit
correctly. It's quite easy to find a rollerblade helmet in a sports store. When you go to the store to buy a rollerblade helmet they usually come
in different sizes, very much like hats: all heads are different! :)
The rollerblade helmets sizes
Normally the sizes are divided in small, medium, large, extra large, but sometimes we see also the sizes being divided by age group like children, young adult and adult.
Before buying the rollerblade helmet, always try it on to see how your rollerblading helmet fits you. How can we tell if a helmet is the right size for us?
When you put it on shake your head around and see if it is loose, or slides on your head. It shouldn't do that if your Rollerblade helmet fits. If you can fit more than a finger between your head and the helmet then it's too big as well. Another way to tell if it's the right rollerblading helmet, your chin strap should fit nicely on your chin without hurting it. It should never hand below your chin. Your helmet should also be straight and even with the ground. The straps that go over your ears should form a perfect 'V' and you should always make sure that if the helmet has snaps make sure all of them are snapped. We must always be very careful.
It's not good if your helmet is small either. One of the things you
will notice if your rollerblade helmet is too small is your head will be sore, it
will leave marks on your head, and it could even pull on your hair.
Make sure that the chin straps aren't digging into your skin, and that
it feels comfortable but not too loose either.

Don't risk your life, use an helmet
When we are young and full of life things like using helmets seem like a thing for elderly folks who are not strong enough to take the fall. But you would be amazed at how many people every year suffer severe accidents just by not using an helmet. It's quite easy to damage your head or even worse, your brain if you are not using one.
Play safe, always us your Rollerblade helmet.

This basketball court has been the unofficial warm up spot for Pittsburgh rollerbladers. Aside from this fence rail, there are two plastic benches and incredibly smooth ground.
