Best domain parking names

The best domain parking names are really hard to find. If you read my previous hubs about this subject I've already covered the basics on Domain Parking on the How to make money with domain parking and explained the process of acquiring a domain name to park, on Domain Names parking.

If I have to choose the single most important aspect on the domain parking activity, I would say that choosing the right domain is the one. If the domain is strong, even without any optimization (yes we can optimize parked domains!), it will perform good.

Please bare in mind that the only allowed traffic for the parked domains is type-in traffic. This means that we can not advertise in any way our parked domains: no links, no e-mail marketing, nothing. This is the main reason why the domain name is so important, because it has to be a name that people write directly in the address bar of their browser.

When we choose a domain name to buy, we always must have that in mind: only type in traffic. Because of that there are not very good options to choose a good domain, but here are a few.

1. small domains with strong keywords. These are very rare or very expensive, you choose. One example would be www.goodhotels.com. A lot of people write directly in the address bar when searching for something and would be quite easy to look for "good hotels" and ending up in your parked domain. But this type of domain are all taken or are very expensive to buy. Also, if you were the proud owner of this domain, you would probably earn more money if you built an Hotel recommendation site.
2. Previously owned domains. We can't spread links for our parked domain, but if the domain was previously owned or if we already have a domain that we want to park, it will already have some back links throughout the web. This way we can have traffic from those links, and at the same time we are complying with the rules.
3. Domains with typos. This is an option that it's not wide accepted as "white hat" activity. There are situations where legal matters apply and because of that I highly recommend that further reading regarding the subject is done. The technique is simple: we register a domain that has a typo of a well know website or brand name. For example, imagine that you have registered the domain wwwgoogle.com. This domain looks exactly like the original, except that the 3 W's are not separated form the word google. How many times we forget the dot while typing a website in the address bar? A lot, believe me!
   

The 3 options above are the ones I use to increase my parked domains portfolio. I will not lie and tell you that I don't use option number 3, because I do, in fact some of the best domain parking names are of this type. It's up to each of us to make the option to do it or not.

One detail that we also have to be aware is that we can find different domain extensions. The most common and known is .com, off course. But we also have to consider .net, .org, .me, and several others. It's easier to find good domains to park from the diverse country codes. The competition is fierce in the .com arena, but in the countries extensions, there are good domains to be registered. But not for long, I'm sure.

Looking for the best domain parking names it's not an easy task, but the payoff can be interesting. One good parked domain can generate passive income for years. If we have enough patience to slowly build our domain portfolio, we have a solid side business in our hands.
